  13.     Ulead Browser is a program from Ulead Systems, Inc. that allows
  14. you to quickly browse the contents of your issue of clipart. You can
  15. scroll through thumbnails for a quick visual view of the images on the
  16. CD or search for images by keyword, description, subject, or marks. Once
  17. found, image files can be previewed.

  23. ò  OPENING THE BROWSER IN WINDOWS 3.1x

  25.     1)  Open File Manager
  26.     2)  Select CD-ROM drive.  Example (D:) drive
  27.     3)  Double click on the PC_USERS directory
  28.     4)  Double click on the BROWSER directory
  29.     5)  Double click on the BROWSER2 directory
  30.     6)  Double click on BROWSER.EXE
  31.     7)  Click on the Album menu
  32.     8)  Select Open
  33.     9)  Select the CD-ROM drive from the Drives box 
  34.     10) Double click on the PC_USERS directory
  35.     11) Double click on the ALBUM directory
  36.     12) Double click on the "Product Month Year".ABM file.
  37.         Example DC0196.ABM.  Note: To open the cumulative album double
  38.         click on the "Product Year".ABM file.  Example DC1996.ABM

  42.     1)  Double click on My Computer from the desktop or open Windows
  43.         Explorer and double click on My Computer
  44.     2)  Double click on the CD-ROM drive
  45.     3)  Double click on the PC_USERS directory
  46.     4)  Double click on the BROWSER directory
  47.     5)  Double click on the BROWSER2 directory
  48.     6)  Double click on the BROWSER application
  49.     8)  Click on the Album menu
  50.     9)  Select Open
  51.     10) Select the CD-ROM drive from the Drives box
  52.     11) Double click on the PC_USERS directory
  53.     12) Double click on the ALBUM directory
  54.     13) Double click on the "Product Month Year".ABM file.

  58. ò  SEARCHING FOR IMAGES
  59.  
  60.     When a search is performed, only the thumbnails in the current
  61. view are searched. If you want to search the entire album consecutively,
  62. select Search Entire Album from the Thumbnail menu or typing Ctrl+W.

  64.     To perform a quick keyword search, choose Keyword from the left
  65. pull-down menu at the top of the screen; then choose a keyword from the
  66. right pull-down menu.  Then single click on the partial pie chart that
  67. is located to the right of the right pull down menu.

  69.     To perform a search with more complex search criteria (for
  70. example, to combine two keywords using Boolean operators such as "and"
  71. or "or"), use the Search dialog box, accessed by choosing Search from
  72. the Thumbnails menu or typing Ctrl+S.

  74.     In the Search dialog box, choose your search criteria category
  75. from the pull-down menu and type your search words in the box to the
  76. right. To add more criteria separated by "and," "or" or "not," click the
  77. Add button. When finished, click OK to begin the search.

  79.     You can save a search for future use by typing a name in the Query
  80. text area inside the Search dialog box, then press Enter. To access a
  81. previously saved query, choose it from the pull-down Query menu. To
  82. delete a query, highlight it and click the Remove button.

  96. modify existing albums, you will need to purchase the Ulead Image Pals
